About CFRP
Most problems in families and communities boil down to a breakdown or a breach in relations. Even the strongest families face turning points or crisis in their lives. When this happens, there are options to consider and high-stakes decisions to be made. What gets a family through is the quality of their relationships. Not just how "good" they are or how many they have. The key to the best success is the ability of people to come together, think creatively, pool their resources, make sound decisions and change course if need be.

Center for Restorative Practice is a group of experts in the fields of family services, team-building, decision-making and justice-oriented reconciliation. We have been working with families since 1990 to help them deal with the sorts of problems that can tear a family apart.
Marin County has been using CFRP’s model of family group decision making (“Family Network” ) since 1996 and has realized marked reductions in child welfare, mental health and juvenile justice placements as a result.

Today CFRP is a center for the development and implementation of a variety of restorative practices. These include family conferencing, wraparound services, and restorative justice conferencing. Our facilitation and training methods have gained national recognition. We work with families, providers and communities to respond to challenges in ways that recognize the sanctity of community and family, avoid family breakdown and repair the harms done by crime, addiction and mental illness and empower families and communities
.
